Data protection at Gremper
What is this about?
This privacy notice explains which personal data we collect (or do not collect), for what purposes we collect it and how we protect it.
Why is that important?
Because you should know what happens to your personal data. Transparency creates trust – and that is important to us.
What does this mean in practice?
It’s simple: if you only visit our website, we do not collect any personal data about you. If you contact us (for example by e-mail), we will process your personal data solely for the purpose of dealing with your enquiry.
You have rights!
You may at any time request access to the personal data we store about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
Our data protection principles
- We show our appreciation for our customers, partners and employees by handling their data – and the data entrusted to us – with care and responsibility, just as we expect from anyone who processes data about us or to whom we entrust data.
- We recognise that statutory and contractual data protection requirements, as well as information-security requirements, may restrict our work and involve additional effort – and we accept this.
- We maintain an open culture in dealing with issues and errors and thereby make an important contribution to improving data protection and information security within our company.
Privacy notice
General information
We place great importance on protecting your personal data. We process personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable data protection provisions – in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – and in line with this privacy notice.
What data we collect – and why
You can visit our website without disclosing any personal data. In this case, we only store technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages accessed) in an anonymised form and exclusively for statistical purposes.
If you voluntarily provide us with personal data (for example by e-mail or via a form), we process this data solely for the purpose in question. We only disclose personal data to third parties if this is required by law or necessary for the performance of a contract.
Data security
Our website is SSL-encrypted. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- obtain information about the personal data concerning you that we store;
- have incorrect personal data corrected;
- have your personal data erased, provided there is no statutory obligation to retain it.
To do so, you can contact us at any time at c.gremper@gremper.ch
Cookies
We use cookies to analyse use of the website and to improve our services. You can disable cookies in your browser; this may, however, limit the functionality of the website.
Third-party services
Our website may integrate services such as Google Maps, YouTube, Google reCAPTCHA or Google Analytics. This may involve cookies being set and data (e.g. your IP address) being transmitted to servers in the USA. We assume that no personal tracking takes place.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to anonymously analyse visitor behaviour. IP addresses are processed in truncated form and are not combined with other Google data. You can prevent data collection by using a browser add-on or by setting opt-out cookies.
Customer portal
When you place an order in our webshop, we only collect the data that is necessary to process the order. This data is treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except for delivery or payment purposes.
Data transfers to third countries
If we use tools from providers based in the USA, personal data may be transferred to the USA. Please note that an equivalent level of data protection as in Switzerland or the EU cannot be guaranteed there.
Changes
This privacy notice may be amended at any time. The version published on our website is the version that applies.
